The only parallel to think that I can think of would be Monica Seles. She was never even nearly the same after the stabbing.

 

Fucking hell! Like others I thought he just got a stab wound. Bloody machete!!

 

That's a serious fcuking wound! I hope he makes a full recovery and gets back inte the sport.

Nasty ******* of a wound. I've been stabbed twice myself and it ain't necessarily such an ordeal, but that wasn't what I'd envisaged. I've also got slash wounds (from defending myself) on both arms and it looks far more like that kinda injury than what I'd describe as a 'stabbing'- it's pretty deep as well if I'm any judge.

Strange that there's not been more information coming out from this. A description of who did it, or the horrific story of people bursting in and committing a violent robbery
