He was doing good in the 2nd Pac fight until he landed a big right hand that shook Pac. After that he stopped trying to set up shots and got wild hoping for the lottery punch.
He really just isn't all that good. He is good but not much more than good, solid contender type skill level. Especially at ww, below average at 47
Based on what? Tim's resume decimates Chaves by a country mile and I would bet Chaves doesn't punch harder than Ruslan or probably even Marquez. Chaves hasn't got a single good win on his resume, Tim has beaten sure fire hall of famers... Chaves struggled with Rios ffs...and you criticize Bradley at 147 when Chaves couldn't convincingly beat a one dimensional LW?
Tim came into the fight looking for the ko, thinking Pac's punch resistance might've been vulnerable. He threw the kitchen sink at Pac and gotreckless. He should've tried to fight a tight, defensive minded fight like he did against JMM but Tim is too much of a warrior. He saw possible weakness in Pac and went for the kill. In hindsight, it was the wrong strategy.
:deal pretty much this. anyone can look good against sub par opposition. bradley is proven at the elite level
of all fighters to put there chance of winning on a hail mary haymaker why would it be ****ing tim bradley lol... still wonder wtf was going through his head because i think i had him ahead or even going into the 5th round i think it was then he just went full blown ****** and i had pac sweeping every round after that
Tim hadn't done a single thing at ww. And it's not only about resume. Once you learn that you'll understand why some fighters with lesser resumes would and have destroyed fighters with better resumes. I guess going off resumes is a good idea when one doesn't really have any clue what they are seeing in matches. How does provo all the sudden have some crazy power ? All due to beating Alvarado after rios stopped him a years earlier. . I have yet to see the vaunted provo power nor even hear fighters claim he has legit power. I would pick chances over provo and Bradley and jmm. And would lay down some serious coin to prove it. ..
Bradley deserves a nice long break. He has been fighting the top dogs one after another for such a long time. He was also well paid and can afford a year lay-off, maybe even more! Was it like 20m in 2 years? More than most of the boxers achieve their whole career.
I must have missed a few Bradley fights. Like the ones where he continually fought the top dogs. Oh you mean took a top 6/10 jww and brought him up to ww and got the **** beat out of him ? Or when he took on a 40 yr old jmm that never did anything at ww except prove he was always the superior fighter between himself and pac ? I must've missed some major Bradley fights.. if he never goes back to 140 there is a great chance he'll never win a legit match again. He probably loses to Provo of they go again. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.
So you're playing the "you don't know boxing" card, is that it? Bradley has been a WW since 2012... Chaves, since 2008 ...so saying Bradley has done nothing at WW means we'd have to measure Chaves in negative integers because the only WW he fought even ranked in say, the top 30 is Thurman. You haven't made one logical point as to how Chaves "beats him from pillar to post" He BARELY beat Omar Weis for f*ck sakes...yes 40 y/o Omar Weis... but you never watched that fight... did you? If an old, nobody 40 year old made him miss wildly and easily tagged him, how the hell is he beating Tim Bradley, let alone "pillar to post" Chaves is best when he can get shots off first and the other guy doesn't return. He turtles up under pressure. Light punching Omar even continually backed Chaves up to the ropes easily and frequently. He also DAMN near KO'd him. This content is protected Tim Bradley beats him fairly convincingly.
