1.SRR 2.Greb 3.Ali 4.Hearns 5.SRL 6.Holmes 7.McCallum 8.Pep 9.Camacho 10.Curry/B.Leonard My criteria is a bit different I measure peak more than most.....but yes im aware of where the historians rank these fighters....
I'm certainly not asking you to include anyone you don't want to but just out of curiosity if you're measuring peak how does Duran who beat SRL in one of the most historical wins in boxing history, and then 8 years later beat Barkley at middle and went the distance with Hagler and was regarded as one of, if not the, best lightweight of all time, not meet that criteria? :huh
His peak was at lightweight and people have him top 10 for most of that, but his biggest win was at welter and none of those opponents at lightweight were better than Ray, Benitez, Hagler, and Hearns and he lost convincingly to all of them....and the way he quit against Ray in the 2nd fight really tarnished his legacy for me, I also felt he ducked Arguello at lightweight as well. He was a guy that wasnt always in shape....which leads to believe he could have been even better than he was and he didnt really take his craft serious. To me he is overrated but yes still very very great, but of that era I prefer Hearns, Hagler, Leonard, and Benitez over him. I also liked peak Curry, McCallum, and Camacho more maybe peak Nunn to......if he was in shape more I probably would like him more, im certainly not in denial about his greatness.....
