Let me start by saying I'm not taking a shot at mayweather fans but I like some of my favorite fighters like Tito and Duran because of what they did in the ring and the good they did outside, what is the point in bragging about your favorite's fighters money like he's sharing it with you? I'd rather brag about the good memories through great performances that my favorite fighters gave me that will stay with me and in my opinion that's what it's all about so please tell me your reasoning behind liking your guy besides he being undefeated...
Well i never understood that either. I actually don't care about any fighter outside of the ring. I'm just a fan of the sport. I have a few fighters i love to watch but general i am just a fan of the sport and may the best man win. I like watching GGG simply because aside from his great power, i love to see that brutality done in such a technical smart way and how he gets into position. It's beautiful to watch at times. I like JMM because he is simply a great boxer but also when he is hurt, he becomes more dangerous and more exciting. I do like to see Mayweather when he is boxing beautifully, there's nothing quite like it. He is not always entertaining though and not enough punishment given out. But i like his fights like the Canelo fight where you see someone who is a master of the boxing ring in action. As a true fan of the sport, you have to put aside personal traits and admire that level of mastery at least.
Because of how much I respected Lomachenko as an amateur fighter. He was seen as the main man in amateur boxing, he was a graceful amateur who really had the true demeanour of a leader of the people and sport. He was sheer elegance. He's one of the best boxers of all time. He seems like a decent person outside the ring. Now in the pro's you're going to see the elegance to a smaller extent because of how dirty and less precise pro point scoring is.
I like fighters who do all the little things right and then continue to refine their art throughout their career. The exception is Mayweather. I don't like Mayweather, but I do respect his skills. Mayweather does things right, he's developed new skills, and I learn a lot about boxing by watching that *****.
Lomachenko....I love that guy! Lomachenko is not as slick as many pro fighters, but offensively and defensively he performs all the fundamentals to utter perfection - and these fundamentals are etched into his mind as if they were instincts (this should be a characteristic of all pro fighters, but it isn't). As a result, he's very tough to beat. If Lomachenko has a High IQ and a desire to sit learn some advanced skills he could be damned-near unstoppable.
Ricky Burns I know he's not the best skillwise and people will say he avoided Broner etc but I just love an underdog and a genuine nice person.
because he's the most invincible fighter to ever lace the gloves and the H2H GOAT never lost more than 3 rounds in a match greatest comeback fight in history after a long layoff never behind on scorecards never ko'd never down never truly lost Was always better than his ATG lil' bro in every sense, could have beaten EVERYONE his lil' brother ever beat and ruled his era completely, but sadly, a series of injuries forced him to take a long break, and when he came back his bro was the division's head honcho. Unable to fight his own bro (whom he would have beaten for sure), he was forced to play second fiddle for the rest of his career. Still retired on top, though. Oh and in his spare time he was saving his home country from political corruption, he's still fighting hard out there, in a scenario much bigger and important than boxing Truly a God among men
