This weekend will be interesting. I'm looking forward to it.

I think Groves with the right opponent will sell well.

Peope know he has the ability now, so they will tune in.

Was just looking at the amount of times Groves headlined an event or was main attraction compared to Froch before fighting for a world title.

Groves: 4 times, all in London in 5 years
Froch: 12 or 13, most in Nottingham in 6 years

Londons a completely different kettle of fish to relatively small towns like Nottingham/Omaha/Flint.

Much easier to garner local support and be the main attraction when you're not from a city of 13 million people

Bruno got support from the entire nation as our only HW hope in one of the heavyweight divisions (and boxing in general) most popular eras. Everyone wanted to see him fight Tyson

Mitchells from Dagenham, Es***, very different to inner London

Haye is a master salesman but still never sold out arenas and got major backing until he moved up to HW as far as I can remember

Take 3 weight world champ Duke Mckenzie as an example, couldn't even come close to selling out an arena. If he was from a small provincial town it would have been a different story

Dirrell obviously doesn't fancy the job, he'd get KO'd as well.

    Run Anthony, run!

Yes,I remember Groves sparring Andre. They must have given each other shiners as I definitely remember George getting one fro m the sessions. Andre was twice the boxer his brother is,but lost his way. Recently came back and stopped a guy who took Callum Smith the distance, which I thought was ominous, but can't see him getting back to what he was. But Id still advise George to go for Anthony. Thats AFTER he rebuilds. He's lost his last 2 fights by stoppage.

I was explaining why Groves hasn't got such a fan base was because he hasn't consistently been with one promoter to focus on him and build him on shows as a headliner. When you keep fighting in your hometown and performing, you'll build a fan base.

same thing , but they should stick by the chinless ginger after calling for frochs retirement after he gave groves a free shot and helped groves by walking stright on to it , he still could not finish a round one concussed froch

froch ktfo of the best george groves in the second fight ,
if it aint a clear win for groves against rebrassee he should retire
