Floyd-Khan should be next

    No fan of Amir Khan. He’s got one of the jackassiest personalities of any athlete out there.

    But the welterweight pool has basically been exhausted. If it’s not Pacquiao (and it won’t be), I can’t think of anyone else. The welter list is basically Khan, Brook, Thurman or Porter. There’s nothing about Brook that would trouble Mayweather. Porter has to go wait in line, so that leaves Thurman and Khan. Thurman has power, but stylistically he would get tagged all night from the pocket, and he has beaten no one of note. That PPV would do horrible numbers. Khan is at least somewhat of a name, has A+ speed, and since Floyd isn’t that big a puncher, I don’t fear so much that Khan would immediately get KTFO (it could happen though, as is the case in all Khan fights).

    Amongst 154ers, the only guy I could see is Cotto. The new body punching version of Cotto would be interesting, and of course, he is always a draw. I would be in favor of this fight more than a Khan fight. I would have zero interest in seeing Canelo again, who just does nothing for me as a fan at this point.

    Khan doesn't even nearly deserve a shot.
    Con needs to go avenge some losses, he can start with Prescott.

    Khan't don't earn this. Sure he is a speedy boxer who has a despicable chin who has earned a name for himself (I don't know how)...but he don't belong in with May.

    He should be busy jaw flapping Bredis Prescott, Lamont Peterson, & Danny Garcia before he thinks about mentioning Floyd.Khan't win with a spinach chin.

    Yessir Khan should get it and take Floyds 0

    Floyd will fight Garcia or rematch Cotto tho who will pose him no problems

    I dont want Khan to get the fight YET because i dont respect the playing it safe plan he has been on since the garcia KO....i don't he is scared of anyone but his team is protecting him

    It's a fight I'd like to see but I don't think Khan deserves it at this point. Khan should get at another good win at WW, he currently only has one decent win.

    Realistically I see Mayweather going for Cotto. It's a big money fight and one Mayweather knows he can win.
