He got where he is at by fighting popular fighters and title holders, not the best out there, so I agree with you. He's not a chump though, there is a good chance he could have fought every big threat and still beat them all. Unfortunately we will never know.

Offered Tszu the fight, Kostya's management turned it down. Beat Hatton in Rickeys prime, there are no other big names at 154 and haven't been in 5 years. Who's he supposed to fight Andrade? Vanes? Beat the guy who beat Margarito to a pulp, and the guy who should have beaten Manny 3/4x. Had a deal in place 50/50 with Manny until Paquiao balked at a perfectly legal drug test.

I believe the most possible case of ducking is Paul Williams (who beat Margarito and was 147, who Paq didn't want to fight either) but what are you gonna do?

Folks when will you stop hating on this man? No other boxer in reason years have accomplished all that he has. He's been champ after the first year of trurning pro, and he still holding it down. You can say he ducked this person or that person, but he's fought some tough opponents and made it look easy. He's even been in trouble a few times and still prevailed each and every time. To say he's overated is complete BS. If he's overated then everyone who could not or has not done what he's done in the ring clearly must be as well. That would mean that the majority of the boxers then and now are overated fighters.
