Frazier might just get blown out like he did against Foreman, but if he gets something working, it might just work big time, and take away Louis’s game.

I don't think that you are being fair to Lewis here.

When he found that he couldn't outbox VK, he turned it into an Irish brawl, and outfought him.

This was a bold, and ultimately effective strategy.

Either way, I don't know who else could have done it at that age.

My favourite match up in this thread would be Louis 1938 v 1971 Frazier.

I think Vlad as a defensive mind may in fact be more of a detriment to his opponents than the sort of reckless one who winded (Purity) or could get caught coming cold and confident (Sanders) or a combination of both (Brewster) I think Vlad gradually gained confidence after the 1st Peter fight and has built momentum and experience. I think the Haye fight was impressive over a fast and dangerous puncher and Vlads performances against a multitude of styles, Sultan,Chagaev,Chambers,Brock,Thompson,Povetkin,McCline,Byrd,Wach, showed an improved fighter who is much more capable than the flawed version pre-Manny but we also saw the same with Lewis just that Vlad has past Lewis with 20= more fights

Vlad has a style that could lose to those mentioned but also a style that could defeat all those mentioned in your post

For Ali, I have 1 name to drop to explain why he beats Joe Louis... Billy Conn... If a smaller fighter can do that to Louis using nothing but speed and footwork, what do you think a bigger fighter like Ali would do? Barring that magical KO power that he was blessed with making itself known, Louis would likely be stopped by Ali late after having done very little offensively.

As far as the bigger Lewis... Even early victory because he had just as much power on his side as he does size. Again, we're looking at a KO punch to save him from a brutal beating leading into a brutal KO loss... It's size in this case though, not much else.

As for Holmes... This is probably the most interesting of the 3 simply because Holmes was skilled but hittable, isn't that fast or power, and his footwork isn't that great... I'll give it to Joe in this case, but we're talking 45-55 odds.
