At 49-0, letting the WW division unravel it's self out until there is an undisputed champ who is very marketable, and returning to beat him to claim the 50-0?

I see this as a very valid option. Surely Floyd has seen the long game here?
It'd give time to really let his body heal, let there be a new superstar in the division not named Manny, and bump up his earnings for the title of being the first fighter to claim the 50th straight victory.

Depends on who he fights. If Khan and Garcia(still unproven at 147) are next then his chances are extremely high.

Some of us saw the Floyd long game 7 years ago, but things have not really gone to plan as of late, as with the 2 Maidana fights, a C level thug put some hurt on him & that was not supposed to happen. I just think Floyd wants out of it all, he's no fool, he now knows he's on the slide, 1st Maidana fight could be excused as just a bad day at the office, but when another bad day follows straight after, well, the walls are a crumbling, the defense's are being breached, the enemy is at the gates. Now we all know that we can forget about Floyd ever getting into the ring with Pacquiao, no amount of money will ever be enough for Floyd to man up & fight Pacquiao even though this is a 75% version of the old pacman, that's never gonna happen, but his only options now are Garcia & Khan & neither of those 2 should have been too much trouble up, until now. Even if he hits 50, it's already discredited by his actions to date by ducking the biggest fight in modern history. Khan of all people is probably gonna give Floyd a problem due to his speed, but he'll get over confident & get KO's again. Garcia gets get 12 round spanking, or should do! I think Floyd's got to many outside distractions in his life, all the squabbles with 50cent & other's, ect ect, the Money team parasites et al, just his whole body language in the post fight interview shrieked of 'Get me outer this', times up, he wants out & he won't be missed either!

corpsejr might be forced to retire next year if:

    1. his recent ppv tanks.
    2. drainelo jumps to hbo and takes cinco de mayo like a boss, as his personal date from now and onwards.

drainelo vs. cotto on cinco de mayo can only be trumped by pac-corpsejr.

you know when people start talking about pac vs. corpsejr? time to go to africa.:rofl:lol:

Mayweather is the kind of fighter that would retire rather than take a loss to Pacquiao, Golovkin or Thurman.
