For you Thurman fans like I, I thought I would share the experience. I was in Vegas over fight weekend, and ran into Keith Thurman leaving the weigh-in. Let me just say, a classy individual. This man must have taken a good 90 minutes just to walk through the casino, as he took the time to stop and chat, take pictures, and sign autographs whenever a fan came up and asked. Very gracious to his fans, and I just thought it should be mentioned that Mr. Thurman never thought a minute of his time was "too much." On that note, I would also point out that Adrien Broner was the complete opposite to "One Time" in person. I don't think that man gave a second of his time to anybody, including a clearly autistic boy who wanted a picture with the 3-division champion. Out of all the fighters I ran into, only Adrien Broner felt his time was just too valuable to be spent with any boxing fans. For those of you who think he might be different with the cameras off of him? Nope, not an act. Funny story: Somebody bumped into Deontay Wilder and talked **** without realizing who he was. (Wilder was also very gracious and spent a long while taking photos and talking with fans)
i ran into broner in the past. he was cool. took a pic with him and had about a 5-10min conversation. with some of these guys...it depends on when u catch them. but boxers overall are the most approachable athletes of all sports.
