The weird thing is that these *****s who call it the 'exact same punch' don't realize that that would mean that he wouldn't be good enough to beat guys like Maidana based on his supposed to be once in a generation skillevel but rather because of having some unnaturally sturdy chin. That photo with the text actually says 'he should have been put to sleep right there and then' probably without the maker actually realizing that.

It's not very flattering for the self pronounced TBE to have to rely on such an asset to be able to beat such a rough and tumble fighter.

Who cares about the foot, its the punch. If Maidana would've stepped on Mayweather foot and it doesnt mean he gets KO cold. Try again dummy :patsch:patsch

Wasn't that fight at 140? Maidana is a much stronger puncher at 147.

Very similar, not the same. Great bait tactic by Maidana though.

Marcos Maidana 35-5 (31)................86% KO wins, 78% KO total
    @ 147: 4-3 (3)...............................75% KO wins, 43% KO total
    @ 140: 31-2 (28 )...........................90% KO wins, 85% KO total

Interesting, but considering he KO'd 3 of his 4 opponents at Welter, and only lost to 2, I don't think percentages tell the whole story.

You don't even deserve a response. You'd get knocked the **** out in person though. No one in their right mind would talk to someone like that.

manny, launched himself head first into the punch. Therefore, multipliying the power of the punch. ever done physics fools? speed & velocity right!! And you embittered fools, are jealous that floyd stood up to that one punch? Remember, that floyd bodypuch that nearly tore marcos in half?

Maidana's overall level of competition at 140 was much lower hence the higher ko percentage. Maidana was draining himself to come in at 140, he weighed over 160 in the Mayweather fights. He is a stronger fighter at 147.

Quite frankly, both of them take out opponents by an accumulation of punches rather than one punch ko's but I think Maidana has a higher ko % at 147 than Cotto. I personally think Maidana hits harder at 147 than Cotto.
