Despite beating many big names, Floyd's legacy is undoubtedly tainted by not fighting Pacquiao and many would say this stops him being regarded as one of the best. However, since Mayweather schooled Canelo, Canelo has beaten a tough opponent in Lara and, in my opinion, will probably beat Cotto if the two fight. My question is: if Canelo beats Cotto and then continues to dominate the light middleweight division (and possibly the middleweight divisions) will he rescue Floyd's legacy? If Canelo becomes an ATG then Floyd will be known as the one that completely dominated him. Also, does anyone believe this is a possibility?
Canelo will never be anything special but Mayweather's legacy doesn't need saving. The haters will probably keep him relevant for in perpetuity since they can't seem to stop talking about him.
PBF is already an atg, I swear where does ESB keep finding these fools? Did they just start following PBF when he moved to 147?:-(
He will always be remembered for avoiding-running for fear from- his greatest challenges while beating up women and children
The Canelo win is looking better and better but it is no replacement for a win over Pac. A win over Pac in 2009/ 2010 would have been the biggest win on Floyd's resume by a long way.
