Can someone explain this to me? Most guys get huge props for being able to walk through hellacious shots and win fights; Margarito, Froch, Provodinikov just to name a few. But I've seen countless threads about how mayweather almost got dropped. I mean by this point I think it should be agreed upon that this dude has a legit chin, Mosley and Maidana landed legit shots on him and he took both of them and came back.

Impressive recovery speed also. Most guys would be fuzzy in the 4th round but Floyd came right back at em.

them boys kind of accept getting hit to land something big and keep doing, mayweathers ****in sick when he gits hit , he has a good chin but it doesnt make him a warrior or anyhting like posters put up, its not a positive thing really when mayweather gets nailed

He's got a solid beard. That was a clean shot that he ate and recovered well. Luckily it was at the end of the round and Marcos wasn't wearing his normal gloves.

Is was impressive, but you have *******s saying he was almost KO'd and *****s acting like he was hit flush by george foreman. It was a good punch that moderately stunned him for a brief moment at the end of the round. Nothing more, it's not proof of a cast iron jaw, and it's not the glaring example of him slipping. It was a decent punch good recovery, not really that big of a ****ing deal to keep talking about it for a week straight.

Impressive but let's not get carried away. He's never been one to get hit flush on the chin as a great defensive fighter. Later in his career he's proven to have a solid set of whiskers but he ain't not Holyfield or Toney.

    Yes he has.....

2 huge shots from Mosley (One to the chin, one to the temple) and beat him up for the rest of the round + the remainder of the rounds

That huge shot from Maidana to his chin would have knocked out any other WW today.

    He took it easily.

He's got a solid chin. It's good. His talent on the other hand is great and that shot wouldn't have knocked out every other welterweight. That's just silly. Maybe if Marcos was wearing his MX gloves and Floyd reacted to the same shot in the same manner you might have a point, but even that would be pushing it.

The man has never been hurt in his illustrious career.

He can take a punch, and many punches at that.

If he doesn't have a good chin, then no one does.

Chuvalo has the best chin, but Floyd ranks up there. :deal

Floyd has a very good chin and great recouping ability after being hurt but the best chin in boxing history?! I'm just saying that is a bit extreme. If you talk about his defensive skills or talent there is a firm argument that he might be the best or can be mentioned in the same breath with others in that bucket. ......but Floyd's chin isn't ATG status. If it was Floyd wouldn't have worried about what Gloves Marcos wanted to wear.

A lot of these gents don't think that Mayweather deserves what he's got. They think that he should act a certain kind of way, be a certain kind of way or live a certain kind of way. They even want him to fight a certain kind of way and just because he's doing it his way, their stupidity won't let them accept him and they long for his destruction. I don't agree with that garbage but to each his own. I think the man is a true warrior and he took that shot like a true champion. That shot would've dropped just about any other 147 pounder.

i'm personally not sure if that shot would have knocked out everyone at 147 but I can say majority of 147'ers would ahve been more dizzy and still messed up in the 4th round.

I feel like everyone either overrated or underrated his chin . He has a solid chin yes but to be fair he hasn't taken that many clean punches . Regardless you know your great and hated when people have to talk about you almost being knocked down or rocked 😂😂 boxing fans these days man
