Let's be honest, this is a ridiculous thread started due to (another) ridiculous comment by the Matchroom team. They have no intention of putting Callum in with Groves and know that it would be a pointless fight for Groves to accept given his WBC rating.

Typical Eddie Hearn and his old man. He probably believes it mind, he thought Audley would beat Haye.

Also Gallaghers gym shabby policy on head movement will cost them when they face someone with the accuracy of Groves.

It's a fight that doesn't make sense to either fighter in my opinion.

Hearn is just hyping his fighter he knows there is no way Groves will fight him

Groves should call Hearns bluff and take it, good domestic payday and a pretty sure win

Is Tobias Webb still Callum Smith's best win? F'kin hell. If we're calling him a superstar, we also need to call him overprotected.

I would take it for what it is, which is Hearn hyping up Smith.

Seen as though we're on the topic of Smith, what's going on with his next fight? I know he's had hand problems but why so inactive? Is he still on the Leeds bill next week??

This Smith hype train needs to slow down a bit, the guy has not fought anyone yet and I see a few flaws. Rocky Fielding vs Callum Smith is the fight that should happen and it wouldn't be as one sided as some of you think.

He had 17% accuracy against a quite static target in Rebasse, hardly great accurancy

0 head movement, does not effectively cut the ring off, when the opponent does't fall down after a few rounds he looks predictable and slow (biosse fight) and more. As soon as he get's in there with a real super middle who has a jab and can move a bit he will struggle.

The guy is 6ft 3" why on earth would you wanting him to have lots of head movement? He should have the reach to out jab most SMW
IMO his ring awareness is excellent so needless to say you and I are watching different fights :good
