I actually like the idea of Pac/Canelo but just as a thought experiment: 1. Floyd Mayweather (obviously) 2. Adrien Broner (Fight at 140/147, or CW) 3. Danny Garcia (147) 4. Kell Brook (147) 5. Marcos Maidana (147) 6. Lucas Matthysse (140/147) 7. Amir Khan 8. Devon Alexander (I know, streching it, but I really like Alexander) 9. Lara (almost the same size problem as Alvarez) There are at least 7 legitimate fights that are at least as good as Alvarez on paper.
I doubt the fight gets made but if it does at a reasonable weight itd be a tough fight for Pacquiao. Even though there are levels to the game Canelo has a style similar to Marquez's and he has more power and is bigger
doubt this fight will happen but if it did Pac toys with him for 12 rounds and ask him if he is alright from round 7 onwards
Please no. This is size mismatch. Canelo's last fight was basically at middleweight. In terms of natural weight, they are about 4 divisions apart at this point.
he's to big for pacman. why does everyone want to fight the smaller fighters :huh ggg wants mayweather canelo wants pacman hopkins wants mayweather ward wants ggg fight someone good or great your own size bums
Cotto isn't going anywhere now that Canelo is on the HBO team. Canelo Vs Cotto out does both of the above events IMO
The last time Pacroid tried to cherry pick an easy Floyd opponent was JMM. Pacroid got KTFO6. I think Canelo has to be favored. B-level CANelo has more skills and power than Pacroid.
idiot. pac went 2 divisions higher for the moeny fight vs. dela hoya. went down to 140. he wasnt settled at 147 when he fought cotto. even then pac went up 5lbs. your timeline is messed up. flopjr drained drainelo to a corpse, after beating cotto at 154, and being the champion there. thtat wasnt c/w, that was draining tactics.:deal
