HBO better put Clottey and Angullo on a retainer and recycle those fights because I don't see him decisively beating any of the top fighters at 154 or 160.

 

It better not be PPV. I wouldn't buy it. Just like I didn't buy Mayweather-Maidana 2.

 

Four fights I'd like to see are Canelo-GGG, Canelo-Cotto, Canelo-Kirkland, and Canelo-Andrade.

 

Canelo vs. Clottley I think it's actually a good fight.... and it's on HBO not on PPV.

I always liked Clottley's style.

 

He'd be wise to avoid fighting the one they call Triple G for the next 3/4 years at least... Stepping inside the squared circle with him could ruin him.

And credit to Alvarez, as the first reply mentioned, he's a dirty-fingernails **** kicker but he has the right attitude. He REALLY wants to fight the best and cares for his legacy and taking names more than calculating the risk vs money equation (maybe because he can't calculate).

 

Quite a schedule. If they are consistently rated opponents the kid is going to have some crazy experience by his late twenties (presumably the summit of his prime, as for most) for this day & age.

Nah he seems built thick and durable, and he really isnt taking huge punishment in his fights.

Golovkin or Kirkland might leave a mark and require some extra downtime, but otherwise he shouldnt be too badly off. As long as he doesnt kill himself with weight management, thats his biggest danger.
