It was obvious when it was "announced" that this fight was never going to happen. Fury-Chisora will likely fall through, Frankie Gavin will pull out with an injury and Bradley Skeete will box Peter McDonagh again and the undercard will be Frank Buglioni and Mitchell Smith in "step ups"
He's not even a contender and he's getting a shot at three belts and probably a career best payday. The guy wants shooting.
Derry Matthews on Twitter was suggesting that Eubank Jr was getting at least 75K for the fight, which isn't a terrible payday for someone so early in their career if you ask me. Eubank Jr said the contract was rushed and he wanted his lawyers to look at it meticulously etc etc. Which I suppose is fair enough, but still this was a huge opportunity to step up the ladder and market himself more. Should have gone through with it
Eubank cant back his mouth up, simple as that. The old man is on record saying he's the best middleweight bar Golovkin Saunders takes him to school and the old man knows it
Is it not possible for the fight to go ahead? Can't he resolve the problem and still sign? Deadlines are only notional things anyway. Where there's awill theres a way, no?
Well if and when this fight happens we will see if BJS "backs up his mouth" and actually stands and has a fight with Jr. Inside 5 rounds BJS said or he gets beaten with a chain right? We will see. Btw I like them both but selling tickets for a fight without it being signed is not Jr's or BJS fault.
Because he's jumping the queue and being given this opportunity numb-nuts. He hasn't earned it. You can't have everything your own way. Eubank Jr has fought absolutely nobody and has been presented with the opportunity to fight for the European title; of course Fish Eye's is going to want options as it's a voluntary defence.
Harrison didnt earn a shot with Haye but wasnt then contracted to more fights with haymaker promotions? (even though ironically he probably wanted that) If Frank or BJS want to fight Eubank Jr then make the fight, thats upto them, doesnt mean Eubank Jr has to bend over and be shafted with stipulations he doesnt want. He mouths off about everyone so Eubank Jr will get other fights and he and BJS will meet sometime in the future i reckon.
I'm also a fan of both, but having watched every single bjs fight since he turned pro, I am fully confident that he will take the kid to school btw - he doesn't knock jnr out IMO, clear points win
