Just here to echo everyone in this thread apart from the OP, close fight that could have gone either way, not even close to a robbery.
It's all depends on what you like. But no way you can call it a robbery. Shame the 2 haven't fought again as the DeGale at the very least deserved a rematch to avenge the defeat. In a strange way it's nearly a good thing they haven't fought again as the next time it has to be the potential if it goes ahead to be a much bigger fight.
Thought it was pretty obvious Groves outwitted Degale (not hard to do admittedly) and won by one or two. Wouldn't have argued the other way around though.
It was a close fight, but I think Groves won a close decision. Groves fought his fight, and seemed to have DeGale unsure of what to do to close him down. I thought it was a good fight, but Groves got that one in my opinion. At the time I thought it was a good result for British boxing as we had 2 young prospects putting their 0s on the line and if one had of been blasted out, we would have only been left with one prospect, but instead we were treated to a close fight with divided opinions and still had 2 top prospects, who have now since then both become European champs and both looking towards world titles
Was a close fight but Groves def won it. Wouldn't have been a robbery either way but theres no way Groves lost that fight.
