Punching yourself in the face for "punch resistance"

i do it everyday.. this morning i was practicing with mixer in my face to cope better with fast punchers

 

Ya to train my gym always hits guys w/ a sledge that has a foam padding on it so the skin doesn't crack. Gotta do it on the back of the head to induce concussion then they will spar for 3 rounds. For some reason despite having one of the most hardcore training regimens most fighters in my gym lose all their fights... I can't seem to figure it out, our reflexes seem slower than most guys at other gyms and we are less coordinated... Guess we will have to make up for it with our chins.
