This thread reminds me of when I read the “guide to running a marathon” book. It could have been summed up in one sentence…“step with the left foot, now step with the right foot, now do it fast for 26.2 miles”

Weight should be distributed between both feet so that you can move, slip, weave easier.

Heavy on the front foot makes it damn near impossible to get out of the way of getting hit in the face(know from experience).

The punches come off the back foot but generally, my balance is situated between both feet.

This is a quality troll job. 4/5 stars.

Closedguard isn't an old bugger. He's a 13 year old lad.

At one time I was 13 years old, it would be an error on my part to think that I could ever convince you that I am a pro-boxing coach and have been for many years, working out of various gyms in New England and mostly filthadelphia. 99% of trainers teach fighting off the lead foot because it is the only way to throw leading punches like mayweathers straight right hand. If one fights from the outside all you could hope to land is a lone jab or RH.

The significance for throwing a left hook off the front foot is what I learned from joe Frazier when he was preparing for his fight against Ali. Joe's left hook was what's known as the push and pull movement. Stand up in front of the mirror.
    1. Press the lead toe into the ground.

    2. Push off the front toe.

    3. Now with the back foot pull backwards

    4. In philly and the New Jersey area where I live the style frowns on turning the left elbow over. So it's best to move towards the target laterally. How the hell else are you gonna land the left hook and yes there's always a sacrifice in technique but it's better than bruised ribs.

Have you fought this way as described? That may explain your cognitive impairment. I like how you constantly refer to Tyson when explaining "proper technique"! You do realize this tidbit sums up your qualifications and experience nicely.

Fighting off the front foot is only used in rare and unique situations. It's not for novices, nor novice trainers such as yourself.

Again, a fine 4/5 stars on the troll job. You could have made it a tad more believable, and laced in some genuine knowledge, and I may have given you 5 stars. A fine performance overall.
