So what. You look at a young fighter by what they show in the ring not who they have fought. Hes clearly not running from anyone but even the greatest had a list of scrubs on their resume before they got their shot. Maidana has been around a while and his best win is Broner. Is that really better? Maybe a more hyped win, but I'd say it isn't a much better win.
This is a good fight. Hopefully SHO steps up and gets some fights like this made, honestly tired of Garicia-Salka and seeing "Bad" Chad headliners when SHO has so many good potential fights. Starting to feel like I'm paying my SHO sub just out of an outside hope that they start showing good fights again. Theres no excuse for it, they have plenty of excellent fighters under their umbrella.
this is a real 50/50 fight imo Thurman has yet to be tested on the top level, Maidana has shown he can be hurt by body shots while Thurman has shown a shaky chin at times If Maidana doesn't get a late stoppage Thurman might take a decision. Then again Thurman doesn't hold much which is needed to neutralize Marcos offense close call even in losses Maidana had given hell to everyone he's fought so I'd expect a good fight.
I could see a 1st round stoppage by ONE TIME ,remember people Chino said Broner hits harder than Floyd. ONE TIME a fast starter.
Hard to predict the outcome Maidana is much better now Thurman love to engage if they star bombing each other Thurman lose the fight.
