How Would You Rate Prince Naseem's Legacy?

fun to watch. was the schoolyard bully for a while, till mab force fed him a turnbuckle and he lost his stomach for school.

 

Had all the makings of being a true legend.the fact that he was as thick as the wall,self absorbed and an arrogant tosser made for his downfall.amazing fighter,wasted what he had could have reigned longer but it will always be a what if now.great record and scary power and reflexes.would have beaten Barrera had he been dedicated convincingly imo

 

His legacy to me is 12 rounds of laughter while Barrera schooled him beyond belief.

 

He never came close to having a chance against Barrera. What in gods name would even give u reason to say that he could have ever came close to beating Barrera?

 

I was made up naz got beat,but he wasn't schooled beyond belief he lost by a couple of rounds,it was his only defeat and barerra was hardly a slouch.take a look at naz's preparation for the fight in this documentary it will give u an insight into how little he trained and he deserved the defeat,one horrible little man he is.

:good Naz was 2 stone overweight 8 weeks before the fight and had several hand injuries that severely diminished his power. In spite of this he lost to a prime Barrera 115-112 with the fight even after 7 rounds.

He was a great fighter and one of the best featherweights of all time. He brought an unprecedented level of attention, fame and money into to the lower weight classes. He earned 40 million pounds and should be credited for changing the economic model for the lower weight classes His fight with Kevin Kelley on December 19th 1997 (KO4) was one of the most exciting fights of the decade. He was the best featherweight in the world from 1996 to 2001 making 15 defences of his WBO title and holding the lineal title for three years. He beat 8 world champions. He is a legend.

 

Not much of a legacy IMO, not when you compare it to other great boxers. Barrera was the only elite boxer he faced and he lost.

Barrera fukkin dusted him. Put on a clinic. It was not a close fight. He's lucky he retired before morales, marquez n pacquiao got to him as well. If a normally aggressive Barrera was able to counter n box hamed the way he did imagine what an actual counter puncher like marquez woulda done?! Sanchez, McCullough, and an old Kelly don't make up a legendary legacy to me.

 

I'm not saying he would beat Marquez or morales,he would have a great chance tho and would have been favourite to do so.naz was in decline long before barerra.barerra trained like an animal naz lounged around in luxury.douglas beat Tyson was Douglas a better fighter ? Not a chance.barerra is no Douglas don't get me wrong but naz was heavy favourite for a reason but as I say I'm no naz lover just saying it as it was

 

he's a Featherweight great that should be in the HOF.

he has a long list of quality wins.

Not too highly. People talk this guy up so high but he fought one great fighter got schooled and quit. Not ATG material
