Fail to see how anyone had Smith winning that fight. A draw at an absolute push if it had been in Liverpool. Nah, Abraham won that fight. Obviously scorecards were horrific tho.

According to Martin Murray, you have to knock them out in Germany to get a draw :lol::lol:

AA looked much bigger and stronger than Smith.
    half a weight class even.
    Smith busier and great effort.
AA there for the taking by busy strong fighter.

Judges a joke but sadly predictable.
But punches bounced off stronger AA.
    I had it close.

The scorecards were embarrassing. I thought Smith nicked the fight. Landed plenty of clean body shots that hurt AA. Smith blocked/deflected the majority of AA shots.

An embarrassing night for German boxing.

I agree that the judging was pretty bad, but it wasn't an embarassing night for German boxing as none of the judges were German. The German talents Feigenbutz (Only 19), Gevor and Koeling won their matches by stoppage.
But I agree this is not the first time that Sauerland's boys are favoured (Huck-Arslan I).
I gave the fight to Abraham by 2 rounds, but it was closer then the scorecards intended. If Smith had been more aggresive in the beginning, he'd probably win.

An embarrassing night for boxing in Germany..

I still can't fathom how the judges came up with them scores. Ridiculous.

Imagine training your whole life for that moment and not get given a fair crack at the whip. Disgusting. Corrupt

My first thought was same as Mark - Smith should be at middleweight. Didn't think Smith would last long but he did very well. Had it close AA by one or two I think. Hope Smith doesn't pack it in

Regardless of who won, it shows that the SMW division is not as strong as it was just under a decade ago

    Regarding any potential rematch.

Will Smith even want to fight in Germany again after last night? & I don't think AA will travel to the UK.

No Robbery but the scores were truly aweful.

Fair play to Smith, he did better than I thought he would.

AA is a small super middleweight and he looked massive next to paul smith.

As others have said Smith should be a middleweight.

Not that Smith will get the chance.....

But I'm quite sure he would take another crack even if it was in AA's front room.

He was fortunate to get the first crack.

Why do you think AA wouldnt travel if it was worth his while?
Abraham travelled to face Froch in neutral Finland and Dirrell and Ward in America as well as Miranda at a higher weight, between title defences in America and made a defence against W El**** in neutral Switzerland.

Not a fan of Abraham (or Smith at that), but dont think Abraham could be called a stay at home fighter

He's the champion probably nearing the end of his career and will have plenty of contenders to fight in Germany.

    Why would he bother travelling?

Obviously he'd be willing to travel if there was enough money thrown at him.

Will there be enough money involved in this fight to get Abraham to travel?
