According to The Scene, Evgeny Gradovich will face Jayson Velez in the co-featured bout to Crawford-Beltran. Gradovich is a Top Rank fighter and Velez is co-promoted by Golden Boy. So I guess this is even more thawing in Boxing's "cold war."
Jayson will KO Gradovich, yes that's right I'm picking a Puerto Rican to beat a Russian, this is a very uncommon occurrence for me. But how dare him call himself Maravilla
Should be good. Velez has power, but if he can't hurt The Mexican Russian, Gradovich can wear him down. He doesn't have big power, but throws punches in bunches. Velez hasn't faced the competition Gradovich has faced either. And Gradovich is good all around fighter. This fight should show if Velez is the real deal or not.
Velez is easy to hit too and I think he Gradovich may be more durable. Dat Nguyen was beating the hell out of Velez for a minute and I thought was on the verge of stopping him.
