I was rooting for clottey in the Pac fight. Except for the last couple of rounds where he seemed to finally get comforable, he went out like a timid little kitten...that soured me against him.

It wasn't the first time he fought scared. He had cotto ready to go and backed off...when he was asked why, he said "in boxing you have to be CAREFUL!" cracked me the fcuk up...but when he said that he thought the judges would be fair to him in cotto's hometown because he and cotto both fight for arum that was the biggest laugh of the night.

Clottey is a study in unfulfilled potential. He seemed to freeze up in his biggest fights (margarito, cotto, pacquiao). Hopefully he's more mature now and willing seize the initiative or at least not be so overwhelmed by the event that he goes into neutral ...if so, he has a good shot and derailing canelo.

Agree with everything here. The guy really has betrayed his own talent in a major way. This guy should have been one of the very few top guys of this era. He had everything. Speed, skill, hell of a defense and was enormous for his weight class. He had sooo much. Goes to show the importance of heart.

freeze up? that's how he fights, he waits until they finish the combo and then he lets his hands go with a 1-2, but pacquiao doesn't stop throwing or out of range.

As someone else said, that's just how he fights. Expecting a suddenly more active Clottey at this age is irrational. This will be a nice showcase fight for Canelo, much like his previous fights on HBO against Cintron, Mosley, et. al. It's a bit weird how many are expecting anything differently or are regarding this as better matchmaking than his other fights against blown up shot welters.

He'll stay the same but I do hope that he throws more given the chance.

This is a fight Clottey can win if he is not old.

Even if he doesn't freeze, expect him to pose for selfies if he ever stuns or hurts Alvarez. That's a Clottey trademark right there.

Please tell me which rnd he had Miguel to go ?

Hopefully Clottey does not freeze up and gives Canelo every single bit of him and makes it a long night for this youngster .

Even if Clottey manages to gives Canelo a close/competitive fight . That will be good enough and His career wont be completely over . People will still be talking about him .

Hes going to lose this fight period .

Canelo is too good for this version of Clottey and if an upset starts cooking , Oscar will never allow the judges to give it to Clottey .
