    Less sure about that.
BJS hoses Andy though, and should beat Eubank handily.
It's just that Eubank seems a strong fit well prepared full middle, and even if his fan club are wrong about him being the second coming of dad, he probably beats Andy. I'm saying that based on Andys recent fairly hopeless opponents eg .fitz, the French welter, the carribean coconut picker etc.. opponents that did trouble Andy. Jury still out on junior though.

Andy Lee was outboxing Chavez for about 6 rounds.

Eubank has beaten a string of Eastern European doormen.
I know who is more proven.

A bit like with your economic pronouncements of how "prosperous" we are, you are being a bit selective here with what you use to back up your point, aren't you STB?

Those 5 rounds against Chavez were the best 5 rounds of Andys career - not his typical level of boxing, which is what I go by.

You're right Andy is more "proven". Proven to be well below top level. Eubank is "unproven", so he MIGHT turn out to be world class. There is still hope for him. But still unproven alright.

Still think we should rejoin the UK which ranks below us in every major standard of living index?

Would those be the "indexes" that Economists like yourself were trotting out to reassure us that we could NEVER have a recession again, during the CelticTiger?
    Now, now, behave!

I never said that Britain is some dream partner, did I?
I DO feel Europes two English-speaking island nations would be stronger as one big strong nation, than 5 small divided ones, yes. It's only common sense.

Case in point....Wasn't Andy Lee born in London? That doesn't sound like any Limerick accent I ever heard....doesn't stop fellas from supporting, him does it?

We wouldn't be better of as one big nation, Ireland north and south together makes sense but not the whole UK and Ireland together.

I think most of us agree anyway that having 5 small nations on the two islands is ridiculous and weakens us all.
(Just remember though that the ONLY one of the 5 that went bust and had the IMF in was the one NOT part of Britain.)

From a boxing standpoint though, it is true that broke banana republics tend to produce all the good boxers...so maybe we're better off.....go figure, I guess.

Lee v Korobov and BJS v Eubank.
3 of the 4 are British Isles boxers.
W arren obviously thinking ahead, hoping Lee beats Korobov...promoters dream, a big Ireland v England match is next up....

Be great if Mack wins in November and Lee wins in December.

W arren better hope he has Lee tied into an airtight contract to fight BJS-Eubank winner if this does happen...coz Andy will be sorely tempted to fight Macklin, not one of the other two. Macklin v Lee fight would be huge here in Ireland.
But I'm getting ahead of myself....

Stop trying to change the subject.

Should Ireland re-join Britain considering that now(in 2014), our standard of living is higher by every international index. We live longer, our average income is higher, our educational standards are higher.

I dont know if you missed it, but Britain also had a recession.

And Andys accent is unlike one Ive ever heard. Probably because hes spent 1/3 his life in Limerick, 1/3 his life in London, and 1/3 his life in America.

By your logic Canada and America should be one county....And all the Spanish counties should join in South America.

Maybe we should just make Europe into one country. Wouldnt that make us "stronger"?

Small countries are better, allow for closer levels of democracy and allow them to be more competitive as it allows them to create their own tax regimes to suit them specifically. Ideally, they'd also have their own monetary policies.
Policies that may benefit London, may not benefit Dublin etc.

Countries can have free trade between each other without being locked into non-beneficial,over-arching agreements.

Id rather you quit desperately trying to drag this BOXING thread kicking and screaming onto some some quasi-socio/political economic debate.

You sound so desperate to add this nonsense into a boxing debate. Why?
Theres entire forums out there completely dedicated to economic debate.

Try to stick to boxing, and not throwing in silly little economic references into your comments.

    Can you do that?
