Have you seen other Pro's making weight or training close to fight time apart from Ricky and Brophy ...Billy had a few pro's on the same shows did they all do the same thing
Um, no they aren't. Mayweather is AFAIK the only boxer that does 3-a-days and he is well ahead of the curve.
Aye, mate, you've got over a thousand in just 4 years. Hard living on the dole, innit? :-( Gotta while the hours someway I suppose.
If you look into most pros regime they are all doing 2/3 sessions a day , Gallaghers lads swimming then gym/sparring and trackwork at night Most seem to do early morning runs/hillsprints Boxing/sparring mid daysh and strength work or track work in evenings My next door neighbour was the commonwealth super bantam champ when i was growing up in the 90s and he was always 3 sessions a day back then
Ah three different types of workout, that's another matter then. I thought you meant three full-on training sessions in the boxing gym at various points in a 24 hour period. That right there is nutty and only Mayweather that I know of does it/can do it.
I read Froch yesterday saying he walks around at 13 and a half stone. I'm sure Groves walks around at 14 stone, maybe slightly more. I'm guessing between 1-2 stone above your weight is ok, anymore then it's a Hatton job .........
There isn't ANY need for a fighter to do 3 lots of Boxing sessions A DAY. None at all. Gallagher has it right, IMO. Although I'd swap and change some track/swimming sessions for S&C etc.
ive never heard of any fighter doing 3 boxing sessions per day , Always Runs/sprints Boxing and Strength and Conditioning
