Looks to have all the tools. I just hope Hearn does a real good job with him and moves him on at the right pace - not too fast & not too slowly. As he said on his recent IFL interview, he's into the "2nd phase" now.
It's telling that 8 fights in and he's already fighting better opponents than Deontay Wilder. If put in against Windmiller I'd definitely fancy Joshua to spark him.
I like the kid too, he seems very dedicated to his craft, the ones who train hard and dedicate to this sport deserve whatever they can achieve from it.. I wish AJ goes all the way, it's great for British boxing and the HW division.
I actually don't think he's planting his feet properly yet so his power could improve as he gets more experienced.
I have no problem with him but then I have no problem with most boxers as long as they don't act like a total d!ck which Joshua does not.
Question is, how are Fury and Haye going to react now most British fightfans have accepted Joshua (praise His name) as their personal savior of the heavyweight division?
Personally, I'd love him to spark the pair of them out. AJ demolishes Tyson, IMO. If Cunningham can land AND drop him heavily, AJ will end his career. I reckon AJ gets Haye out there as well. Haye has world class head-movement and knowledge of being out of range/judging distance, but I reckon AJ puts it on him big time. How many proper HW's that are agile, can KO you with either hand and have youth on their side has Haye faced? If Chisora can land on Haye, so can AJ. Difference is, when AJ hits you, you STAY hit. That's the fight where Haye is made to look like the blown-up Cruiser he is, and realises there's a new breed of HW out there.
"I'm starting to like Joshua more and more." Me too, I'm also starting to believe in him more but I refuse to get carried away. I remember people getting this excited about David Price not so long ago. Joshua has done nothing wrong so far and looked very impressive Saturday. I do not see the point of the Sprott fight and it is going to be very difficult to match him from now on. I'm hoping fans do not turn away from him or start to dislike him because TV and his Promoter are going to over hype him and we've seen other Olympic medalists get dogs abuse because of over exposure.
This fight told us nothing about him, except he can beat up a t-can.....Hearn should sort out some one who will move him around and at least put a sweat on him..
