I'd say the odds have tripled in favor of Golovkin

Canelo will fight him but we dont know when. I dont think it'll be to 2016 because Cotto will beat Canelo and fight GGG first while Canelo fights somebody to get back in the game

I'll believe it when I see it. If it does happen, GGG KOs Canelo easily.

That's assuming Canelo beats Cotto first and wins his belt. Cotto is smaller than Canelo, but when they fight I think Cotto has a good chance of outboxing Canelo to a decision.

As for either fighting GGG, it's hard to picture it happening any time soon. At this point it just sounds like Oscar's using GGG's name for publicity. Canelo has never even fought a real middleweight. Certainly his first will not be GGG.

I really doubt Canelo would take this fight. It is suicidal. Even Floyd has beaten Canelo. How could Canelo compete with Golovkin when he fails againt Floyd?

Canelo has sparred with GGG, so I'm assuming both sides have seen weaknesses they can exploit. My assumption is that it's more of a matter of timing, money and popularity.

Hopefully Canelo fights Cotto at 160 for the middleweight belt and winner takes on GGG. Canelo is interested in taking back the May and September dates so possibly fighting Cotto in May and GGG in September. I think GGG has a decent Mexican following now. Assuming that Canelo can win against Cotto those two would be the biggest fights and bigger than anything Mayweather can drum up.

GGG called canelo a good boy for a reason:hey

he knows canelo is stupid enough to get in the ring and get brutally knocked out by round 1
