Even if he did beat him down in sparring, it's just that sparring, it doesn't mean anything.

Damn there are some sensitive Sallys in this thread. Ive already said I think GGG beats everyone at 160 or below... He is not a big MW and it should be no surprise when he is dominated by bigger guys in sparring like what happened against Groves

just a myth, like when spadafor (sp?) supposedly laid it on Floyd in sparring. lmfao, funny part I pauls team are the only ones who have video of it and has many times refused to post the whole session anywhere online.

all they would ever show is the very end when Floyd was dead tired and catching his breath on the mat. they don't show the rounds of the sparring, why is that ? because an out of shape, out of the gym for a year Floyd whooped his ass until he lost all his stamina

Sparring means nothing. Remember how groves supposedly schooled froch in sparring aswell, yet how did their 2 fights end?

I have actually seen footage of that spar and Spadafora did beat up Floyd but we all know who the better fighter was so that tells you how much sparring means. Also Groves should be a light heavy maybe even cruiser he is probably a lot stronger when not having to cut.

George Groves about his time in Big Bear. Calls GGG one of the best p4p.

I don't think you would call someone best p4p and look forward to work with him in the future if you battered and dropped him.

Why not? It just makes the pasting he gave Gennady look even more impressive. The fact he's looking forward to working with him again in the future speaks volumes as to how well he did in sparring...

Because it doesn't make sense. If you beat someone up you wouldn't be impressed by him and think 'wow he must be really good'

It tells you Groves is impressed and thinks he can learn from sparring with GGG.

Andre Dirrell would have to show his Abraham scene, but this time he will not be pretending.

Is there at least an interview or a post from somebody who saw it with his own eyes ? No, there isn't.

... and he doesn't spend most of every round being covered up.

    at 23:20.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q_2m-uLZXlU

Bayloric: "George Groves was recently in a camp with GGG. Were you there at that time?"
    JJ: "Yes"
Bayloric: "What can you tell us about the sparring between GGG and Groves. I've herd GGG got dropped."
    JJ: "No, that's not true".
