Absolutely agree...fat and ****ing lazy lol but He had great skill, never ducked anybody, and defense was Almost as good as mayweather... But I think floyd uses the shoulder roll More effectively
Mr. Toney would like to respond to your post with the following direct quote from an interview conducted minutes ago... " Whodafuggyewcallinlazyyewppawnkazzmufugga? I'llkickyofugginazzbish. I'mdabessevaandanybodywhodon'tthanksocansuckdeeznutz."
Sam Peter was better. Jk (well not really,) but Toney did a good job acting as Joe Frazier in the movie Ali from 2001 with Will Smith.
Toney was more skilled than Floyd. If Toney had the discipline of Floyd, he would have been a TOP 10 ATG
My all time favorite boxer. Just wish he had the work eithic of a Manny Pacquioa or a Floyd Mayweather Jr. I think he would have been ranked in the top 5 all time if he maximized his potential.
He's one of my favourite fighters to watch, tremendous inside skills, I wouldn't favour anyone over him in a toe to toe fight in close. At his best he was a puzzle, wrapped up in an enigma, really difficult defence to crack if you didn't have inhuman speed like Jones Jr or huge height and reach advantage like Nunn. One of the best counters punchers I have seen as well, a remarkable fighter who achieved so much despite being out of shape for so long.
An all time great talent. A delight to watch when he was focused. A truly great prizefighter that could have been even better.
Horse**** ! The Mayweathers grew up on the same street with the Mathis's and the Toneys as well as several other great fighters. Floyd Jr's skills were superior to all !
