Why does Bernard Hopkins hate Don King?

Because he doesn't like being ****ed by anyone not named Mrs. Hopkins.

 

Don King is an ass, like Arum..... maybe you remember DeLa Hoya and Mayweather...its the 'amost' similar, except he had Hopkins and Trinidad....almost because DLH and Mayweather both had popularity and but DLH had the spot light...Trinidad definitely had the spotlight and hopkins wanted it...Don king made that 4 man tournement in light for Trinidad to win and gather all the main belts but it back fired on him...so so forth the story

 

One person he screwed that very few sadly recognize is Tim Witherspoon. Tyson and Ali still made a lot of money with him and got a lot of recognition in the process. Witherspoon hardly made a dime for everything he offered.

i don't know that hopkins hates dk....but he sure didn't trust him. he had to sign with dk to get in the tournament with trinidad. he gave dk his 2 fight option after the tournament and got right back out of contract. bhop has been known for years to do things on his terms. i'm guessing he learned early in his career the dangers of dealing with dk.

 

Hopkins was doing business with King way before the 4 man tournament.

Look at the first Mercado fight; after the bout, Hopkins was next to King, who was looking down on him, as if he had promised to King to deliver but couldn't ( the bout was declared a draw after Pop got decked twice; the championship remained vacant)

 

bhop is old school and knows all the ins and outs of the game, all the behind the scenes **** as well...he knows don is a very sneaky guy and is untrustworthy...

bhop wants nothing to do with king, because king will only bring him down, king has nothing to offer but negative...king is like a leatch, he only sticks to you if he can suck your blood


in a way i feel bad for stiverne, but knwing that stiverne has a good manager will help...tyson never had a good manager when he was with don king...in fact i think it was in part of tysons contract with king that tyson had to hire kings son/nephew as his manager and all the money just went to king

 

Might be mates with Tim Witherspoon. Don King fucked him over bad just like he has everyone else.

He screwed Randall Tex Cobb bad!!! King claimed he lost $$ on the fight & cut Tex purse. Tex basically went 15 rounds with Holmes for NOTHING!!!

 

King put on some of the most famous fights of alltime. He made many boxers rich beyond their wildest dreams of avarice. He did screw over Witherspoon but Tim did quite a bit to sabotage his own career coming into fights out of shape.

 

Bernard was right there too on the same card as Quincy Taylor- Keith Holmes when Quincy was robbed of his WBC middleweight title by King Richard Steele & Holmes
Story was Quincy was #1 contender to Julian Jackson but never got a shot they kept putting guys like Rodney Toney. against him . Well Quincy was heading a card in Dallas & the guest of honor was Jose Suliaman.
Quincy had been playing hoops with kids from Troubled Teens that morning & had messed up the ACL in his knee. He still went ahead basically on one leg & won the fight. Suliaman found out what happened & came to Quincy knowing he was injured with a non boxing injury & offered him a title match with Julian. He wouldn't have time to get his knee fixed first & Suliaman was hoping Quincy would turn the fight down & there fore they'd be rid of him. But Quincy went ahead fought Julian with his torn ACL strapped up & TKO'd Julian Quincy put one over on them
Who was Quincys mandatory he had top fight? Keith Holmes managed by Kings stepson Carl King. The referee was Richjard Steele Don's referee. Quincy's knee was still numb after surgery but he never told anyone. Holmes caught himwith a shot & Quincy's knee gave way causing a flash knockdown. Quincy was up ad raring to go not hurt at all . Holmes came rushing in flailing but not landing & Steele moves in and stops the fight. It was blatant robbery. Bernard came to Quincy & said Man you got robbed but don't quit cause you & me gotta get it on we're the two best middleweights out there. Oh yeah Bernard knows what King is
