im in the minority of thinking he won the rematch with Pavlik, and was quite impressed with his improved skills and ring smarts, and most of all his heart.

so im interested in what he has lined up next. i would think they'd set up a quick win for him before looking for a big money fight (Miranda, Winky, Tito, RJJ) but im surprised nothing is official yet.

there was talk of Brian Vera (of the Contender, coming off a KO of Andy Lee) at one point, right?

    anyone have any info?

    well the champs will be

    bute
mundine ( possibly going in the other direction )
froch/inkin winner possibly might be made up to champ.
wbo not looked at there rankings.

so taylor will most probably fight a stay busy fight and then challenge one of them.

well theres 2 vacant belts for the taking at 168. I can see him going most likely for the WBC title with another rank opponent, probably andrade

i only know this because the fight is well publicised , but carl froch and denis inkin are boxing in a couple of weeks and they are the WBC number 1 and 2
    with kessler third.

    jermain is 4th.

i do not think jermain will automatically qualify for a title shot with the ABC`S if calzaghe vacates, but obviously as a marquee name who brings money to the table jermain is not going to have to wait as long as all the contenders around him have.

i forgot about bute for a second with regards taylor.

    canada v usa.

bute is a marquee fighter in canada draws the crowds.

i think a taylor v bute fight would sell well and be very high profile with the fight being able to be staged in canada in front of a large crowd and the styles would gell perfectly.

They wanted Roy Jones Jr. but it looks like he'll land Calzaghe for November... so they're trying to land Trinidad for some time in late September or early October. HBO already reserved a date for the fight. Brian Vera is the next choice if they can't get Trinidad... I've also heard about Mayorga being in the mix, but I think he is the last option.

...so It's Trinidad or Vera. I don't think Taylor will be able to fight for a belt this year. Lucian Bute is injured and has to fight his mandatory Librado Andrade first.

Taylor should move up to LHW right now, he can get some good fights within a year up there against some big names.

Hopefully Jermain won't be inactive for a long time, and a fight will be announced soon.
