first odds are in. http://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/gennady-golovkin-v-martin-murray/winner Golovkin 1/20 Murray 8/1
Brutal fight.. Murray going to have his moments. Triple g. Going to work hard for a stoppage. But Murray is a big powerful middleweight with cute skills. Triple g wouldn't be able to bully Murray around.. Murray will match him strength wise.
Murray is a good fighter but I expect GGG to win by stoppage after about 6 rounds. Good fight though, don't really see many other options at middleweight except the fighters who will probably duck GGG.
I think you will be in for a real shocker then. He arguably beat Maravilla in Argentina, but still I never been very impressed with Murray. Sturm came pretty close to stopping the guy, can you imagine what Golovkin does to him?! :scaredas:
Why did they sighed this fight so fast ,this puts fighting Cotto or Canelo further back ,we are talking possible 2016 if he were to fight any of the two unless it happens in September ..man talk about perfect planning Team GGG ..knows what they're doing.:-(
I like GGG alot, but he's not very fast and he does put himself in vulnerable positions after he throws some shots, a quick, sharp opponent can capitalize and exploit that flaw. That really is GGGs only real weakness, he needs to sharpen up his offense to stop that.
will be GGG's 3rd fight since cotto fought Martinez.... Cotto sitting on his AS$ milking the title......
I like that he's fighting every 3-4 months. Oscar used to do that, in sept 98 - sept 1999 he fought a war with Chavez, war with Quartey, Tough fight with Oba Carr and epic showdown with Felix trinidad in only 12 months!! 2 ATGs, 1 GREAT, prime champ, and a top tier, prime contender. That is amazing.
top 10 or not.....he has no wins over anyone of note and with all of 12 KOs has no fire power to do anything...... its over before it starts...hes already and 8-1 under dog.....
Are you serious? Cotto/Alvarez will not fight before May. Should GGG wait a year until the winner "decides" to grant the loser a rematch or to stage a fight against a blown up (light) welterweight (like Bradley) for "the" middleweight title? That being said, I am not overexcited about Murray. Decent top10 guy, physically strong. Tall guy who keeps his hands high - GGG will kill his body. I think he lost against Sturm and looked quite ordinary in several other fights. Sad but true - he's the best guy available.
