I think at first the bellew clev card did not warrant being ppv at all but seeing the line up now i think it is defo worth it, hull was brilliant for a standard show and has already said cambell vs coyle next year will not be a ppv

Liked him at first but gone right off the guy with all his bs talk over this latest ppv. Sky sports is a rip off in itself if you're only in it for the boxing . Then having to pay extra for ppv, especially one like that card ,well its just taking the ****. Not a good thing for boxing at all.

King of the crap ppv cards

  4. He needs to realise the only PPV fighter he has is Froch, fans simply will not be impressed in any Sky PPV that does not feature Froch.

People who say that Sky Sports is already too much, so putting PPV on top of that is ridiculous, need to remember that Hearn is in charge of Matchroom not Sky. Its irrelevant to him how much Sky charge for their service so don't make it out to be his fault. Maybe he is wrong with the latest PPV, in my opinion I think its decent value, not great but not bad either but at the end of the day we have had a run of about 7-8 weeks of boxing on Sky on a Saturday and every show has been very good in my opinion. There are many promoters that have made worse and more mistakes than Hearn has and I think he is certainly delivering the fights fans want to see and he has took British boxing to a whole new level in a relatively short time period.

Done a good job dressing up not a lot. Started off by saying he was Mr 50/50 but literally appears to be the complete opposite of it. For example the lightweight scene in this country at the moment- Mitchell, Burns, Crolla, Campbell, Coyle etc and we have to wait until next year to see the two Hull boys fight. Instead they all go down the eliminator path and we get average fights. The eliminator stuff is killing boxing and matchmaking. Fighter A beats nobody in an uninteresting final eliminator then wait a 6 months to go abroad and get his a*se handed to him. Exception being Kell Brook.

The basic fact is that he doesn't get his hand in pocket and that is why these 50/50s don't materialise. His dad is a smug man who likes to call out other boxers- Joshua beats Fury, Smith beats Groves now, but no there is zero chance of the fights happening.

The PPV is not even that much of an issue. But the card isn't stacked, full of TBCs and joke one sided fights.

Fact of the matter is there have been about a half dozen cards in the last 12 months where the biggest price favourite has been 1/5 with the bookies. Just a complete farce and non matchmaking. It's too expensive for Hearn to want to put competitive matches on and that's a fact.

Same situation as FW had with Sky.
Budgets per show were squeezed not allowing any really decent fights on Sky
(remember how hard it was when FW was trying to get Hatton a big fight, he was openly complaining on air about the budgets)

Plus hes probably committed to X amount of PPV's per year - with Haye vs Fury off earlier this year he probably needed to pull something out of the bag.

Having said that - his card on the 22nd isn't worthy of PPV and frankly I would like to see it bomb! Have never had issues with paying for PPV's but I really want some decent fights for my money!

I'm a massive fan of what's he done, love him or hate him, what you can't deny is that since he started promoting boxing, British boxing is in a much place than without him, with the exposure and big shows being put on.

He has made an awful lot of 50/50 fights and a lot more than for example FW has done in the same time period. There are no TBC's on the November 22nd card and on every card in the world there are a few fights where you know who wins prior to the fight. The calling out other fights is publicity, without it you wouldn't get people interested in fights and they do that sort of thing to see if people are interested in the fight. He though Joshua vs Price was a fight people wanted but when he said it at the O2 it was booed. He also has never said he would make these fights he said I believe he could win and will look to make the fights in 12-18 months
