He wasn't entertaining on saturday and you could argue that he never has been but give him credit for still fighting at the top level at 43. Whether he's boring or not he's successful and he managed to keep it so close with Calzaghe that many thought he actually won.

Hopkins going backward is part of his tactics: Calzaghe comes in, opens up, and eats a right hand. I thought Hops fought a great fight, but he did fade down the stretch.
Stop hating and give the old warrior his props.

Going backwards is allright. Hugging all night is not. Great or not, he is boring.

I have not been able to watch the entire fight yet.

I had to work during the fight, and missed it live. I have tried to watch the replay several times, but the fight is too ****ing **** to take.

Honestly, who could watch a replay of that fight all the way to the end?

I cannot imagine anyone watching that fight again. Most great fighters you can watch the fight several times and enjoy.

Hopkins is a tough muthfukka, and has boxed at the top level for donkeys years, he made life very hard for Calzaghe but still lost the fight.

I know some purists praise his style but its not and blast calzaghes
but everybody boxed in the style of Hopkins, then no one would buy ppv, no one would go to fights and there probably wouldnt be any websites like this for us to chat bollox

I will always prefer boxers that come forward and try and force the fight because with them there wouldnt be a fight in the first place.

Headbutts and 3 or 4 counterpunches per round is not a sweet science as far as Im concerned

But at the same time, anyone who steps in the ring has the right to box whatever way they like
