    this is for certain....

Brandon Gonzales is not a good boxer
Brandon Gonzales was nowhere near as good as some made out beforehand...
He offered nothing to Degale..Nothing.. it was an easy fight.

Look at Gonzales resume.. he drew with the south african.. but he has beaten absolutely no one of note at all whats his best win ? lolololol...he had no business being in a world title final eliminator.

Well said... coming from a Groves backer who'd love to see Georgie boy put his lights out!

    But you are right.

Degale couldn't crack an egg and he stopped Gonzales in 4 rounds, it was a mismatch.

Anyone who thinks Gonzales is anything worth noting.. doesn't have a clue about boxing

and that is supposed to be Degale's best win??!!! :rofl:rofl:rofl

I haven't even said Gonzales is/was great or the next best thing, I said he's better than Tobias Webb which only an idiot with a grudge or Tobias himself would claim so come on idiot give is all a laugh instead of slating Gonzales how about you tell us all exactly how Webb beats him and give us a breakdown ?

Gonzales was a very good win, he got robbed against Oozthuizen. You just hate him because he's not white don't you KillerKovalev :yep

DeGale would probably beat Froch...and he would school Callum Smith who you suck off on a daily basis

Another problem with DeGale is the fact he's has 3 different promoters. All wanted him to take different route's to a world title & wanted to build him up & make him look good on the channels they fight on. This required a few gimme fights then gradually a 'test'.

With his lack of power and tendency to stay on the ropes Froch beats him from pillar to post.

Wilcwewski and Paul Smithare good European/ fringe world level fighters and he gave Groves a close fight. Apart from that yes it's poor though for 6 years as a pro. He should be chucked in with the best now it's time to sink or swim.

Clearly this isn't an entirely serious thread, but DeGale's resume is actually pretty deep for someone who hasn't fought for a world title.

He's beaten Paul Smith (who recently fought for the WBO belt and potentially will get another crack); pick 'em fight with George Groves who has had 2x world title shots; narrow win in his 12th fight against European Champion Wilczewski who was 29-1 at the time; beat Gonzales who a lot of people thought had a great chance of winning and is now scheduled to fight Periban who lost a MD against Bika.

Assuming DeGale beats Periban, I'm struggling to think of an active British Pro that had a deeper resume BEFORE fighting for a version of the world title.

Murray, for example, had beaten Nick Blackwell (and Blackwell wasn't ready at that point) and Khomitsky; Barker's best win was probably Spada; Bellew's was Ovil Mc; Rose was a SD against Maciel; Khan was losing to Prescott and a joke of a fight against Barrera; Macklin was losing to Moore; etc.

Despite his notorious 'reign of terror' Clev beat Murat and Mohammedi before his first world title fight, which on typical standards could also be considered 'deep' as one went on to fight B-Hop and the other is B-Hops mandatory.
