Well Hoost is probably one of the if not the most accomplished kickboxer in the world. He fought in a tactical way, breaking his opponents down.

He doesn't deal well with powerful guys that put a lot of pressure on him as he cannot fight his tactical fight anymore that way. That explains his losses to Sapp too, even though his pride cost him the second fight ( instead of chopping a badly injured Sapp further down, he chose to box with him ).

Because of his agressiveness and the way he can finish opponents, Tyson would probably have a good chance to KO him. That said, there's always a chance he would run into a knee or kick too.

What do I mean? Here's one of your "UFC types" getting his glass jaw shattered by a washed up boxer.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

That's what I mean. These UFC guys are packing china in their mandibles - and against guys who can really hit, it gets exposed, early.:deal

One thing to note about Hoost is that he has been known to break arms of those who block head and body kicks.

I remember watching break two guys arms in a single tournament.

This must be a joke thread. Hoost was in his prime in the 90's while Tyson was way past it. Assuming that we're talking about kickboxing, Hoost would front kick and leg kick his way to a comfortable decision, though it would definitely take a lot of discipline to avoid going for the knockout late in the fight, once Tyson's legs are jelly and looks like he wants to quit.

Both men were machines in their prime.

No one ever punched like a young Mike Tyson and obviously if he would have hit Hoost he would have knocked him spark out. That's the same if Hoost used a big knee or one of his deadly kicks. Two different fighting styles.

Look at Bob Sapp, he was just a big guy who couldn't really fight but because of his size if he hit you with a clumsy punch it was normally enough to knock you out. Remember the human chin was never designed to take an impact, if it was people would never get knocked out so its not surprising Sapp beat Hoost. Look at Remi Bonjasky and his flying knees, he would have probably beat Tyson. Kick boxers, Thai fighters, mma and Jiu Jitsu fighters all have an advantage over a standard boxer.

K1 was not on the same level as boxing. How much money did Tyson get to fight? How much did they get for winning the K1 tournament? That should tell you enough.

Also Sapp beat Hoost. Twice I believe. The other guy that did good in K1 was Mark Hunt. He won the title mainly by throwing hooks.
