Good day gents What are your thoughts and predictions on this weekends big fight between the great Benard Hopkins and the Krusher Kovalev? IMO Kovalev deserves to be the favourite and part of me is worried for old man Hopkins safety, but the other part of me wouldn't be surprised if Hopkins outboxes Kovalev and wins. Kovalev is big and powerful, he has power similar to Golovkin but IMO is not as skilled as Golovkin, I think Kovalev relies on his power a lot. I like Hopkins and do not want to see him KO'd but it is possible this time. Kovalev has never fought anybody like Hopkins, also I think Hopkins is smart and would not have taken this fight unless he was sure he could beat Kovalev. I'm sitting on the fence with this one boys and would like the thoughts of my fellow Aussie members here at ESB.
Hopkins was too keen for this fight I think he see's a weakness in Kovalev he can exploit. Hopkins UD.
If the future Hall of Famer can win this he'll be something very special. I'm backing the Russian by stoppage.
I think it will be close but I think Kovalev should win. His pressure will not allow Hopkins to do his thing. Looking forward to it.
If Cappello can put Kovalev on his behind in the first then Hopkins can but the longer it goes on the more i think Kovalev will prevail .

A Russian beating an american with the profile Hopkins has on US soil...if he doesn't get ko'd or knocked down He will win this.
Tipping against Hopkins for a change in this one. Feel Kovalev will be bit too much at this stage. What Hopkins has done so far at his age is amazing and is truely not human if he wins this...
