Hopkins schools Kovalev, then stops Stevenson - new Unified LHW champ

I know enough thanks for your input though bud , I was very impressed with Hopkins in the Pavlik fight , loved the bolo punches and the clowning , I wasn't impressed at all in the pascal fights or shumenov (be honest did you think he had a chance? Nobody did ) I think it will be a great fight but won't be shocked if he wins .

 

KOvalev will punish Bhop.

hooks,righthands and jabs? thats a 90s bhop, not a 2014 bhop who only throws an occasional right hand lead and a headbutt. probably walk straight into a decapitating uppercut of kovalev's.

 

Hopkins needs to fight a flawless fight in that he can't allow Kov to buzz him like Pascal did because that would spell disaster for him. Kov is a finisher. I'm pulling for Hopkins because he is the underdog and I love it when the overcome proves to be a better general than the defeat.

 

If he beats Kovalev, I really think he'll beat Stevenson with ease. I do see where people are coming from with this though (that Hopkins will easily outbox him) it's a possibility.

 

dont you want fresh new blood on the scene? imagine kovalev vs stevenson, beterbiev and ward. would be amazing fights.

hopkins has a few entertaining fights but he knows how to stink out the most highly anticipated fights aswell.

 

I feel that the only way a 50 year old hopkins will win is by headbutting and fouling his way to a SD.

Yeah, new blood is good and I wouldn't be mad whichever way the fight went. I just love the idea of a man beating the odds and making history in the process.
