He wasn't so young.Maybe he was 25 years old.
    Fantastic,unforgettable win.I think Acklie's bodyfat percentage was about 30.
Nice hairstyle by Acklie. It's interesting: Mark Gastineau(ex- football star) knocked
    Acklie out also.
Honorable mention some other fights by the great Acklie:
He knocked the 300 pounds Wilson Douglas out (ko1).
    What a destroyer he beat a 300 !!! pounds man.For the size lovers !
    Other interesting Acklie fights:Acklie-Dan Murphy(1992)
    Acklie-Dan Murphy (1993)
(Check the Lennox Lewis-Dan Murphy(1990) fight out! Dan Murphy's body is so
    laughable.A must!!!)
    Acklie-Silbernager
    Acklie-Cobb
    Acklie-Dicky Ryan (1995)
    Acklie-Dicky Ryan (1997)
    Acklie-Dicky Ryan (1997)

Craig ? 16 years old Tyson vs. Craig Payne amateur fight. And Payne won! I can't understand this.
Maybe the judge/judges couldn't stand the bodypunches.

Payne may have beaten Tyson in the amateurs but he couldn't conquer the formidable Tim Puller in the professional ranks.

Acklie must have been paid to take a dive here. He could have really used his compact frame to crowd the taller Klitschko. Acklie was like a white Joe Frazier. Slow starter but one he got warmed up he started "Smoking!"

Klitschko was very fortunate he was the up and coming protected fighter in this one. Acklie was like a pitbull in there.

Acklie also had a four-fight series with Paul Gardner.

Gardner only fought four times as a pro - all against Acklie.

That's Midwest boxing at its best!

Gardner fought that buzzsaw FOUR times?! That must have made the Ali-Frazier, Zale-Graziano, Gatti-Ward, etc. trilogies look like Romper Room. I would liken it to the SSR vs Gene Fullmer four fight series. Acklie had a similar crowding style to the middleweight legend.
