He's a big Light-Heavy - I see him moving up to Cruiserweight in the next 12 - 18 months to claim a title there, then after that...who knows?

I do still worry about his chin - Hopkins landed a shot in the 10th round that stiffened his legs for a moment.

No way. He aint got the handspeed or reflexes of roy jones or the chin and defences/skills of james toney. his style is built on his power and aggressiveness.

    This.

He's not got the right style to move to heavyweight. Smaller guys need to rely on being predominantly defensive if they want to be successful at heavyweight, kovalev will never fight like that.

In the 60s, yes. Today? Nope.

Could see him making it as a top Cruiserweight - but not a Heavyweight, no.

He's a prime example of the need for a division between LHW and CW, in my opinion.

What would it be called? The Light-Cruiserweight Division?

I think both kovalev and high could win a belt at heavy but wouldn't beat wlad, too much height difference

In the "golden era" he sure could have. Nowadays he wouldn't have a chance, nor would such a freakshow be sanctioned.
