I saw that of him when Joe Frazier died, he took what was a somber and mourning time to hype and market promotion.

 

Oscar knows Ortiz has appeal.
He has good looks, has the sob story and he's already made cash from boxing.

The W/L thing means nothing to Oscar.
He knows Ortiz can sell out places. Just from his Mexican heritage.

Chavez Jr gets the same treatment, although he's more protected.
Canelo is the new Oscar imo. He's not elite, but he's World class, and can hang with anybody not named FJM

Ortiz, he's just milking that cow dry until it retires to be an extra in movies full-time.
