    No.

Hopkins during his prime years was something special. He would have been too much for Kovalev. Too fast, too skilled, too slick. This is boxing, not weightlifting.

Too weak, Too small, too tired, Too defensive, Too cautious. This is boxing not gymnatics guys. Kovalev is the beast from the east, and he schooled a atg in hopkins with a sharp mind and tactics from a great trainer john david jackson.

Like they would actually subject Golovkin to that sideshow of a fight. Considering what Kovalev just did to Hopkins a fight with Golovkin would have no upside for GGG. I am not even considering what weight it would be.

I honestly do not like telling grown men, especially a HOFer like Hopkins what to do with their lives but if he still wants to fight he should have one farewell bout against a handpicked opponent.

Hopkins would slaughter GGG! Kovalev was much too big, strong, tight, patient and rangey. GGG walks into shots and is a natural middleweight.

seriously, when are people masquerading as "fans" going to learn 101 boxing which would clearly teach anyone even 50 IQ point children like the majority on here that stat means NOTHING.

p4p GGG has far more power than kov but no one can say for certain what his power would be like at 175. I don't think he would need to gain ANY power, the power trip G has at 160 is more than enough to KO any fighter in the sport

very true, kov is truly too skilled for any version of hops. i'm not saying kov is more skilled in every dept but for the most part he is clearly too skilled for hops at any point in his career.

way too great of offense and just flat out too powerful. some people bring up the tarver fight WAY too much, that fight means NOTHING.

tarver had to literally KILL himself to make 175 after blowing past 200, way past it for the rocky cameo. he was not close to mentally prepared nor physically prepared for any training camp.

tarver had laid some eggs on certain fight nights but that was far and away the worst tarver that ever entered any ring

and fyi: people talking about hops facing trip G. I didn't realize how many people truly hate hops that much. my god, I wouldn't ever watch that fight. that would be a scene straight from a horror movie.

hope would be lifeless on the matt before the 6th round. hops truly has one HELL of a chin which would make it even more painful to watch.

hops has always been a complete ******, disrespectful racist clown but my god, I don't wish a retirement as vegetable for anyone

GGG would stop BH. He don't have stamina issues and he'd do to BH what SK did in round 12 from round 1-2-3 TKO win for GGG

So now, GGG is going to go up two weight divisions and beat up the second or third best light heavyweight in the world in Hopkins? Triple G is a great fighter but he is a natural middleweight as was Hagler. Let him totally clean out that division and then maybe move up to face Ward. He is too short and small to fight lightheavys. He would have his hands full with Ward who is one big, strong supermiddleweight with serious boxing skills.
