yeah he boxed for repton, found out a bit about him now he came into boxing late aged about 22 after studying other martial arts and won the senior novices class b's.
I also heard he stood out at repton for the amount of work he use to put into training.

The guy above me knows F**** all about boxing it seems lol .

Let me just rip this bum apart

    1) 6-0 with just 1 ko- he's a novice with pillow fists.

Since when did you have to be a concussive knockout puncher like GGG, to be a decent boxer? Also knock out ratio's are no indication of how hard a fighter hits? Martin Murray has a low knockout ratio do you reckon hes pillow fisted? Also hes only boxing journeyman who are coming to survive we will get a better sense of his power when he goes up in level and faces people who come to fight.

    2) wasnt a good amateur

No he wasnt a Lomenchenko but he had a limited amateur career and won a national titles and represented his country. This was all achieved in under 30 fights so not too shabby id say.

    3) No one has seen him fight or know who he is

So that means that he cant box? Not many people have seen Mitchell Smith but does that not mean hes not a decent prospect the same goes for Ahmet Patterson before he beat Dale Miles.

    4) Not signed to a major promoter

They could come knocking if he gets to British title level, and lets be honest in a weak division which is ten stone, with one of the poorest British champions we've seen in a while he has a great oppurtunity.

  8. What the **** is the problem with him mentioning a boxer

Saw him last night against Appleby. I thought Appleby won the fight but Bowes got the decision. Bowes showed quick hands and good skills. I just thought Appleby was on him all fight and deserved the nod, but Bowes' did land some decent punches, the better quality punches. Liked the look of him, but felt Appleby was robbed. It was a real clash of styles and I thought Appleby, being the aggressor, would win, but it's a subjective sport. And Leytonstone's not far from Bethnal Green!

Anyway, I'd be happy to see both boxers again and will keep an eye out for them.
