I know what you mean but when you see the likes of Hopkins and Wlad get away with far worst fouling then Hatton, it does make you wonder would the outcome of the fight changed with a different ref.

I think Ricky himself would be honest enough to assess his career and realise that he could have done quite a lot different in his approach to the lifestyle.

Fact remains, he was an elite level fighter who only really fell short to two top P4P boxers, one possible ATG.

Had he lived the life, he may not have ended up on his back in the MGM, I think that's what will haunt him, a few 'ifs' in his latter years.

Not to say he'd have won by any stretch, but it's those unanswered questions, but I suspect a lot of fighters have those and excuses are just that.

No Ricky Hatton ruined his own career due to his binge eating, alcoholism and drugs.

they messed his career up for a few years, but he regrouped when to a comfortable weight class, became the man there and tried to rematch pac. even willing to go down as far as pac made that clown, journeyman at best marg

but pac wouldn't do it because cotto was at a comfortable weight and he HAD a TRAINER at that particular time

one fact is Floyd has completely ruined your life, I doubt you ever had one but Floyd destroyed you, badly kid

It was excessive and unusual though and. If I remember right mayweather imitated a lot of the clinches and didn't let hatton hit with a free arm

you must have missed the fight, hatton took a severe beating for 10 friggin rounds.

and NO sane person could compare cotto and hatton. hatton was at the end of his career, took a nasty beating and he was all done.

cotto was much younger and recovered completely because he wasn't pounding beers and blowing tons of coke (im sure amonst other ****) in between fights after the Floyd whooping,

hatton wasn't draining himself to make a weight he was to big for like cotto was.

not a single similarity but I wouldn't expect you to pick up on stuff like that

reading 101 for you, I am saying cotto was able to recover because his body and mind were in much better places than hattons.

hatton was at the end of his career, cotto was in the middle and looking to move UP but the $$$ bought his ass out. YES, once he moved up and actually got a real trainer (someone who TRAINS boxers) he was much better and recovered completely,

pac tried to buy him out again but cotto said PHUCK you, you fought marg (if anyone can be called a bum its marg) at 150 so you can fight me at 150. pac yet again turned down a great fight because said fighter had a trainer and wss at a healthy weight.

what is your opinion on why pac wouldn't man up and fight cotto close to the jmw class ? even 150 cotto was willing

Hatton himself stated that after the Floyd fight his punch resistance wasn't the same.
