Hopkins vs Froch would be a lot more exciting and memorable .

I rather see that as Hopkins final fight .

I initially thought Ward but the most financial upside would be Chavez jr. I guess if both are still having promotional issues then Froch would be great as well. Unlikely he will lure anyone up from 160, still all interesting senario regardless.

Unfortunately for Hopkins, his most recent loss and him dropping weight may make him more vulnerable to actually getting stopped so the incentive will ber there for potential opponents, if nothing less than to use as a measuring stick against Kovalev.

We really don't think Hopkins could weigh in 13lbs under what he did for Kovalev? (12lb under what he did for Shumenov and Murat)

He also said he wouldn't box past the age of forty.

He doesn't have a chance in hell of beating Ward who's basically the boxer that Hopkins used to be 10 years ago or longer. He would stand a much better chance against Froch, or JCC Jr or even GGG.

Hopkins has just suffered a bad loss and that often has an effect on a fighter. I wouldnt be shocked if Hopkins were to be stopped in his next fight by a lesser puncher than Kovalev.

I wonder if Hopkins is looking to fight at SMW or MW?
I will guess SMW. So who could it possibly be if it is SMW? Froch, Ward, Anthony Dirrell are the SMW world champs.
If its MW there is Golovkin, Cotto and a fight that I once said wouldnt surprise me if it was made in Hopkins/Quillin, but I believe Quillin has relinquished his title

Sounds like maybe GGG. Could possibly be interesting to watch to see what happens but I don't think that's a good idea for either fighter though. Hopkins because he could get beat up and GGG because Hopkins is 50 and coming off a beating.

Froch is another possibility but I'm not sure if either guy really wants it. Neither guy has really mentioned the other much which leads me to believe they might not want to fight each other. Froch especially might not because if he struggles with Hopkins (and there's a good chance he would) he would look bad because Kovalev just beat him easily.

    I don't see him fighting Ward, it's a mismatch.

Any of the other belt holders at 160 or 168 would make sense as would Chaves Jr or even the likes of Martinez, Kessler and a few others. Hopefully it's a decent farewell for Hopkins.

Froch makes the most sense .. I don't think he should fight GGG ..

Chavez Jr brings nothing really and no title ...And Martinez really doesn't sound realistic .

Hopkins has said before that he doesnt want to fight Ward, but I guess if there was ever a time to fight him it would be now after such a big lay off

I honestly think Bhop embarrasses Froch's slow ass

    Easier said than done .

I would predict B hop to beat Froch no question .

But I don't know if he embarrasses him , this aint Murat he going to be fighting .
