In 5 years we will be saying Campbell. Right now, id say Crolla or Derry. Crolla is my favourite current British fighter though, he has been in 2-3 of the best domestics scraps in the past 5 years

Has to be Mitchell, Campbell will be the best by a long way I believe but for the time being it has to be Mitchell followed by Crolla

I think this is the issue. So many of this matches can be made and should have been made this year. Bear in mind Burns and Coyle have been omitted from above poll. Flanagan and Matthews are with different promoters granted. I don't understand why Coyle and Campbell need to be on the same bill 4 times in two years and we have to wait until next summer for the fight, just get it on already. Crolla fought Murray but is waiting around for Abril. Burns should be back in meaningful top domestic dust ups rather than fighting continental tune ups.

The era of the 'elimination fight is depriving the fans of the best domestic fights which are the bread and butter and actually tell a promoter and the fans who is ready for world level and who isn't. All we get is these fighters in safe matches to boost their world ranking to fight for 'world' honours via elimination matches. When is Mitchell fighting Bey anyway? Just get him in with Crolla FFS!

    All so frustrating.

Well said. I'd rather see any of the two boys mentioned in the poll above in the ring than anyone of them in a world title fight. Well for them if they get a title shot, but big domestic dust ups with fighters of their styles and calibers always lead to barnstormers.

For me Campbell is the only one who can or has the potential to be competitive at world level

Ok hes been off form of late but with everything hes had going on he deserves a bit off slack , to not have Ricky Burns in that last is ridiculous

I heard Mitchell was doing pretty well against Burns in sparring lately.

Remember this isnt Ricky of a few years ago. Also for me Crolla still has a lot to prove.
