I remember it like it was yesterday........nicely done. It was one of those things that was considered a big enough deal to air on prime-time network TV, completely unheard of now.

I'm glad you flushed out some details about Virgil Hill and his unseen role in the proceedings. I'd read a month later in the magazines that he'd fought on that card, but it hadn't been televised. He played second-fiddle to the rest of that group his whole career, but had a better career overall than all but a few.

Yeah, in a way he must've felt pretty smug considering how he was tossed aside early in his career.

With all due respect to him though, you can understand the Duva's thinking he lacked star potential.

Good stuff, Flea. I know very little about amateur boxing, and it was really nice to get detailed info on each of their amateur careers and the context surrounding their medal winning efforts. You make money doing this? I'm ****ing jealous if so.

Flea you magnificent ******* I read your article. Pretty damn solid. Love all the collected footage and especially the gathered primary source material. It enables you to interject an opinion without the nasty issue of bias coming up.

If you had to pick, being an unbiased observer, '76 or '84?

I'm like, on probation, so I make a small amount for the first year.

I usually write about MMA and Muay Thai. Have just gone back to boxing.

Glad you liked it. Do you write? If not you should!
