Hmmmmm. Horrible question. I love Mike Spinks....but I love Holyfield too!

I have Leonard and Whitaker in my top 20!

Perhaps the Ugandan team were a bigger threat in '76 than Cuba or the Soviets were in '84?

Well debate aside I'm really glad you liked them mate.

    Let me stew on it.

So hard to pick, that's an outstanding question. Howard Davis, Ray Leonard of course, the Spinks brothers.........not to mention John Tate at heavyweight (who left more of a mark than Biggs ever did) and my buddy Leo Randolph. Outstanding team. All the more impressive medal count considering the Soviet bloc teams actually participated in those games. Makes you wonder about the later careers and how they would have gone had the better teams been allowed to compete in '84.

Flea does a good job here of reminding us those 1984 fighters DID beat some of those fighters in competitions not long before the trials, so it's not the least bit impossible to imagine them winning a lot of golds anyway, but it's more reasonable to assume a couple would have been siphoned off by the Cubans or Soviets.

Not legit sports journalist type stuff, no. Seems a fantastic, if tricky, field to get into though. Maybe I need to make adjustments with my schooling situation and look into journalism...:think

I'll be doing searches for your muay thai and MMA articles here in a bit. I read Jack Slack's stuff near-religiously. If I were to look into to doing some of this myself, I honestly think I'd mostly be writing about MMA as well.

1,2 and 3 should be pretty swift reading though.
